The HX1838 VS1838 NEC Infrared IR Remote Control Kit or sensor remote is a versatile solution that utilizes infrared signals to control various electronic devices from a distance. It is an IR Wireless Remote Control Sensor Module For Arduino. The sensor uses HX1838, with high sensitivity and an Operating voltage of 5V.
The IR remote has a minimum control range of about 8 meters (24 feet). It comes with a CR2025 battery installed. The remote uses NEC codes. Receiving head with HX1838 with power work instructions lights, receive 38K frequency any remote coding data. It applies 3.3 – 5V and grounds and hook-up the signal output pin to a digital input pin on the MCU for reading the received codes. It comes with a 3-wire female-female jumper cable that can be used for hook-up in some installations.
The IR LED with an MCU is sure to limit the current to about 20mA by using about a 180 ohm current limiting resistor to avoid damage to the MCU assuming the MCU can support 20mA on its output pins. The IR LED itself can handle up to about 50mA. The long-range capability ensures reliable signal transmission, while the plug-and-play setup and energy-efficient design add to its user-friendly features.
