Description QRD1114 Reflective Object Sensor

The QRD1114 is a reflective object sensor consisting of an infrared emitting diode and an NPN silicon photodarlington, mounted side by side in a black plastic housing. The radiation on the axis of the transmitter and the response on the axis of the detector are both perpendicular to the plane of the QRD1114. The photodarlington responds to radiation emitted by the diode only when a reflective object or surface is in the detector’s field of view.
